Time zone overlap calculator
Add each person’s time zone and working hours. You’ll see when everyone is working at the same time, in each person’s own local time, and can share the result as a link.

Times use your browser’s time-zone data for 2026-11-02, so daylight saving is included. Nothing is sent to OnlineHours; the team is kept only in the page address.
How to find your team’s overlap
Enter each person’s working hours as they would say them: 09:00 to 17:00 in New York, 09:00 to 18:00 in Kyiv. The calculator turns them into the same day on one timeline, marks the hours everyone has in common, and lists that window in every person’s local time, which is the version you want to paste into a meeting invite.
Pick a date when it matters. Countries change their clocks on different weekends, so a window that works in March can move by an hour in April.
Why overlap and online status go together
Shared hours are when colleagues expect a quick reply, and when the green dot in Slack or Teams is checked most. Both apps switch you to away after a few minutes without activity; the away timers reference lists the exact figures for Slack, Teams, Zoom and Google Chat.
Common questions
How does the calculator handle daylight saving time?
It works out every person’s local time for the date you pick, using your browser’s time-zone database, so clock changes are included. On the night clocks change, the day is 23 or 25 hours long and the timeline shows that.
Is my team’s information stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to OnlineHours. The team is kept only in the page address, which is what makes the share link work.
Can someone work past midnight?
Yes. If a person’s end time is earlier than their start time, for example 22:00 to 06:00, the calculator treats it as a shift that runs past midnight.
How many shared hours does a remote team need?
There is no fixed rule. Many teams keep a short window that suits everyone for meetings and quick questions and handle the rest in writing. The calculator shows how long that window can be before anyone works outside their hours.
How do I stay online in Slack or Teams during these hours?
Slack sets you to away after 10 minutes without desktop activity and Teams after more than five minutes. OnlineHours keeps Slack, ClickUp or Microsoft Teams showing you online during the hours you choose, from its servers, so your laptop can be closed.
